Ocean At Dusk
You, 2017
The phenomenon of convergence can be grand, explosive, beautiful. It can be paradoxical, as when the waters seemingly light up in ethereal flames when the sun converges with the horizon, or it can be a symbol of rest and release, as when our versions from the past and the future converge to give us the present, the mysterious retelling of the story about how the setting sun acted as a pharos during our darkest times.
It will guide us back home.
As the sun dives into the sea
Bringing the dusk, when we′ll meet
The wind greets us in delight
Out by the ocean on the sand
We'll find a place where we′ll stand
And pray we won't be washed away
By the shifting tides
Till the storm gently subsides
As the sun fills the waters with its fire
Bringing the future we aspire
To make ours before the hours
Split our tangled souls
Separate, replace with holes
Let's build a house made of dreams
Out by the ocean, by the beams
Of the setting sun that burns the sky
Let′s build a new one, let′s just try
Like we always do, let's just fly
Among the promises that
Drift around us just to say
"Please return, and with me stay"
